Oh yeah, no doubt it was loaded with cool hi-tech wizzbang. But the tolerances on the supercharger were so close that many of them broke because of dirt getting into them, the cool speed-activated spoiler was completely useless and the cable-actuated shifter was about the crappiest control mechanism I've ever experienced. Whee.

I like my 16v 92 2 liter GTI better actually. They are less gimmicky, actually quicker, and less expensive to maintain with more space and better seats.

Quicker? My ass. The VR6 was quickest, then te G60, and finally the 2.0l which was really sloooow.

I wasnt speaking of the VR6 at all. The 2 liter "16 valve" model Jettas and GTI's are faster in many scenarios than the G60 Corrado (weight contributes). The 2.0 slow after 92 in the basic Jetta and Golf is nothing to scream about. Now, when you "modify" a G60...lookout!

nah man... the g60 runs about the same as a 2.0 16v gti, the g60s have more power yes.. but they weigh a bit more.... but you can crank more power out easy... as for seating.. the corrados are comfortable as hell, clearly you've never sat in one djkenny
