I don't actually know, as I'm only familiar with the stories, but haven't actually read the work. But they do have songs that are directly related. "Karelian viisa" is an album very much about Kalevala.

I dont suppose anyone would take my word for it but having done some research on the web, the swedish translation I came up with was "tennen trillar" meaning the river/creek/brook (water) trickles - I cant recall the remaining text precisely, but the central theme remained WATER, which you can clearly make out at the beginning and end of the song, as well as the rythm of the song, so what is the translation displayed above about? I believe it is incorrect.

Oh and because of the word max in these message boards the message below may come off as a bit intrusive or smart ass-ish. Its not intended that way, it merely puzzles me that this translation lies so very far from the one I read (over a year ago) in theme and wording, and basically doesn't fit in with the norse/heathen context in which most of Hedningarnas material appear normally. -ex. Land of Shadows

åte. Both are excellent. I can also recommend Sorten Muld for a more modern hybrid.

Corny80. You can find the lyrics of all the tracks from this album in four different languages (swedish and english included) if you google "rinet trae hedningarna" and click on the top link. It is "Tennet trillar" by the way, tenn is tin, but I guess you know that also.
