Well, I have a degree in economics, fluent in 3 languages, worked as an international consultant engineer for 26 years, started 3 companies in 3 countries, awarded 5 patents. I lived in China, Africa, Costa Rica, Siberia, Portugal, Bahamas, Brazil and Venezuela. So if this makes me an ignorant so be it. I'll assume that you, on the other hand, are extremely experienced and knowledgeable. But I must tell you that supporting Edwards blows your cover! Cheers!

There are still a couple of us canuks who are on the "right" side of life. One of my favorite is Mark Steyn. He actually resides in the US now but he is Canadian. He wrote what is probably the best political book of 2007;"America Alone, the end of the world as we know it". It is the most lucid writing about the world in general and America in particular that I have read in a long long time. Also the fact that he managed to make it funny as well as pertinent doesn't hurt any. Cheers :)

A corporation has a right not to offer healthcare. By bringing healthcare into the workplace, you would be tying yourself to your job. What will happen if you leave the job, then your healthcare goes. Healthcare in general is not a right. An individual has a right to choose whether he wants healthcare or not. Edwards divides the anti-Clinton vote, and so undermines the prospects for the changes that he passionately demands in government. He helps Hillary if he stays in the race and boosts Obama if pulls out. Edwards deserves a special place in our politics for his efforts to bring poverty to national attention and to take account of the needs of the poor. But now it's time to read the writing on the wall and obey the verdict of history. It's time for Edwards to pull out. Anyone but Hillary 08!
