2. green day came before the whole modern emo trend, starting around the early-mid 90s. 3. emo is characterized by doing nothing about your insignificant problems other than whining about them. the video makes the purpose, stopping genocide in darfur, obvious. it also does something about it.

If people say Dookie was the only good album and that they changed. You're pretty stupid cause' they didn't play the same shit every album. And that Green Day can cover a John Lennon song and make it sound good. That's a damn good band.
