i dont get it. if todays children are more violent and growing up quicker, then why is disney making soppy baby films! the best ones are the oldest ones like snow white, fantasia, pinochio that are dark and magical. there is a reason some are called classics are i think disney should stop making cheap second films and make some new 'classics'!

You are correct. I watched Fantasia as a child of 4 and was so entranced, it remained with me for a lifetime...Night on Bald Mountain, Hall of the Mountain King, The Socerer's Apprentice,...I was SOO disappointed with the re-release, I cannot watch it. I have a PhD in Nuclear Physics, worked for 30 yrs. as a Child Protective Services Social Worker, do not swear, use drugs or alcohol am not promiscious.Back in the 40's
50's, parents raised childen, not TV or the movies.

i know this will sound kinda weird but i always wondered why at 5 minutes to 5:20minutes they have...creatures with clearly visible boobs (one goes right up to the screen) but then people always find controversial things in disney movies. things like the naked (waist up) of a lady in the first rescuers movie. but never said any thing about this one i guess the times were different. it just all ways made me wonder.

I'm surprised this hasn't sparked religious controversy. Were it made today, atheists would rant about it "shoving religion in their faces" selected churches would ban it for not going along with their interpretations of hell... I still like this, though. My favorite sequence from it. The end with the bell ringing makes me think God is stepping in to stop the demon.
