made me laugh. i have to admit he was a very strong pm. he is lucky he got out before the credit crunch as we wouldnt want him to get some of the blame, unlike gordon. i want gordon brown to win. i dont think he is a strong pm but the labour policies are what britain need and now the average people will vote conservative because they think the current affairs are all labour fault. infact it is thatchers goverment that caused the boom which caused the bust. cameron eat you heart out! twat

Thatcher is history. Labour have been in power now for as long as the Tories were under Thatcher and Major. The credit crunch is a result of policies pursued under Blair *when Brown was Chancellor of the Exchequer*. And now people are looking to Brown to get us out of a mess he created in the first place! You are absolutely right. Looking for Gordon Brown to solve England's financial mess is similar to America asking the former CEO of Goldman Sachs, Henry Paulsen, to solve our financial crisis. Brown and Paulsen are the problem, not the solution.

Yes, but the trouble is, no-one's listening. Labour held a seat at a by-election recently, partly on local issues but also because people see Brown as the answer, not the problem. His answer may be the correct one - spend our way out of recession - but it was his policies that got us into the current state in the first place. He was desperate for Blair to resign so he could have a turn at being PM before the birds came home to roost; he must be feeling very relieved indeed!

They made the same mistake - deregulation. Too much making money instead of producing goods and providing services.
