this sounds too hard to use :S and I don't mean that I don't understand, I mean it's not taht good of an Idea, I had and idea but it only works with desktop PCs, I'll post the idea on a Video some day ^^

I think it would be much easier/logical to improve on regular touch screens. I don't see the advantages of having a screen operated from behind. A stylus easily fixes the imprecision of fingers.

onbe of the one si dont think will ever take off. i mean you could just use a stylus for more accuracy and even if you want that background touch the device is still going to be big and cumbersome. neat idea but no real practical purpose i can see...

This is just stupid. Apple's multi-touch conquers this on so many levels. Not to mention thats a entirely new way to type, which might have a hard learning curve.

For now, a less sophisticated way to "see" keys on the back of a device is to put decals on the front which show the character location. That's how people learn to use an AlphaGrip, a handheld keyboard and mouse that looks like a game controller, which has 12 keys on the back (including 8 rocker keys) and 18 keys plus a trackball on the front, which enable comfortable, hi-speed typing at 50+ wpm and 10-finger-control gaming, while standing, reclining, lying down, or sitting anyhere.

It uses the regular qwerty layout. It has only just been rotated to be easier to use. Rather than putting it down to type or using a portable keyboard attachment. The user can keep it held in their hands while typing. All the fingers would be used to touch the same keys that would be touched on a regular keyboard. What you seen on the video is a prototype.

Something that will most likely be an option that can turned off. Altough, how is it any more intrucive than having your fingers blocking the screen using a regular touch screen? At least the image of your fingers would be semi-translucent. Making it easier to see what is being pressed.
