I partly agree with you. Rafe's death really wasn't his fault. He was just defending himself. But if he had listened to Vivian in the first place when she told him to leave her alone, then none of this would have happened.

Okay, so, Gabriel and Astrid had Rafe and Gabriel's brother was Vivian's father, which makes her and Rafe cousins. But doesn't it also mean that since she is supposed to marry Gabriel, she is supposed to marry her uncle? The book was not this complicated.
