| The origin of the albanian folk dance is as follow: fighters used to dance in a mode of competition to show, who can do it better! So it was a sort of competition between them! Now, it is clear that in a competition not all people can perform in the same way! It is clear that villagers are less acrobatic and professional dancers can do things they cannot do! But the hard core of the dance is preserved! On the other hand fold music "changes" with time! |

| Professional dancers shouldn't do things villagers cant. Professional dancers should be dancing like the villagers! This is the only true way to preserve tradition. Music that is traditional shouldn't change. Music that has evolved is no longer traditional. It may become traditional many years from now. There are influences of both our cultures in both countries. No one can be sure where, how, and by whom dances originated from. No matter what anyone says. |

| tsamiko - ts = C, then we have 'Camiko' - we are left with 'cam' & 'iko' which mean 'of chams' or 'cam dance' hence valle came(cham), its plain greek, we're not even inventing anything, its self explanatory, but this is not a cham dance, this is devolli dance, its 100% albanian, the greek version its not as good as the original cham dance, but then again they greeks can not measure up to us |
