Video Description:
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to this briefing.
As you should be aware:
The YSPilots squadron world is ever dynamic, short-lived groups of self-proclaimed or actual ace pilots coming together. Some of the time, these cores attract followers - the 171st and 241st are two prime examples of such eventualities. In the overwhelming majority of cases, however, innocent squad-leader hopefuls disappear from the community because they unintentionally provoked the anger of a top squadron leader, and through that the anger of the other squadrons.
Many potentially promising squadrons have disappeared because of this. Now, however, they are coming back to bite us on the collective rear, bitter, resentful pilots forming into fluid splinter factions such as the 49th Ghosthawks and 289th Deadly Arrows, factions with no coherent, acknowledged existence, with pilots who are simply in those units because they want to be. With this, the squadron world is getting ever more complex and twisted, leading to more members leaving and more members becoming fatally confused.
Additionally, more and more people - like Panzerfire, the recently-resigned XO of the 171st - are leaving; we foresee that when they come back, the war will have moved to a different stratum, and their experiences will no longer be relevant; in short, we will lose pilots because they have got... behind the times.
This clearly cannot go on - YSPilots is not a rapidly growing community, as badly as some may take that statement. Unlike some, we cannot lose a few members here and there and write such losses off as necessary collateral damage.
We propose a solution - reduce the squadron world to simple black and white. No longer will potential squadrons be stifled by a war that one needs to be a veteran to understand.
Place the 171st and 241st on one side of the dividing line, and people will flock to their cause. Place the 49th, 289th and their followers on the opposite side, and people will flock to their cause too. Each side will become a coherent, well-organized fighting unit; there will be a simple choice presented to squad-leader hopefuls - Us or Them. New pilots and squad leaders will be able to throw their lot in at once with the side they feel comfortable with.
Wars will be decided on their pilots' merits. They will not be decided on matters of petty internal politics, who to appease in order to work your way up the squadron structure.
This centralization is the future. It is the only way YSPilots' military forces can survive. It needs to be implemented immediately.
Proposal for a Unification of Personnel and Aims PUPA The Red Phoenix Fighter Wing - gone without a death certificate. The 171st Carrier Air Wing - with all respect, dying. Its executive officer, Panzerfire, recently resigned citing real life reasons, and its active members are dropping like flie
s. The 241st Shadow Hunters - the most alive, but still dying. Most pilots are inactive. -Unstung
