It reminds me of some of the anti-war pro-peace songs of the 60's (e.g. Dylan's Masters of War), but much deeper complex because of the recognition of guilt we feel for the ways we benefit from a situation that causes others so much misery. Love the message of hope urge to work for change at the end.

If we are in Iraq because it is blood for oil, then wouldn't the gas prices be $0.50 a gallon or lower if it was blood for oil? We are in Iraq because we are helping the Iraqi people and their government. Those insurgents are destroying their country and we are eliminating them. If we back out of the war Iraq will fall right back into the hole it was in. That is why we need Mc Cain in office and not those idiot democrats becuase they WILL destroy our nation. When a large world power invades a sovereign country in order to control the flow of oil, well, that's the sort of storyline that normally brings hundreds of thousands of protesters to the streets chanting "No Blood for Oil."
But will we be seeying the masses of the world rise up and condemn Russia for its naked aggression against its smaller neighbor, Georgia? I'll be waiting, but I won't be holding my breath.
