Good point. It did seem like truly great artists in those days at least had a platform though. Many of today's best artists will probably never reach the heights of Dylan. Most of my favorite bands don't even make enough money to live on.

As I said before, the CD is called "Hard Rain". It is not a studio album, but live recordings, all from the Rolling Thunder Revue tour. It has five numbers from the Fort Collins gig (May 23, 1976) and four from Fort Worth (May 16, 1976).

I thought I'd made that clear in my previous post. The difference is that the two gigs were in different locations - Fort Collins, CO and Fort Worth, TX - and on different days - May 23 and May 16. Some further information - the four songs on the Hard Rain CD from Fort Worth are: I Threw It All Away Stuck Inside Of Mobile Oh Sister Lay Lady, Lay I hope that's clear?

No other songs from those two gigs have been officially released - by Columbia - yet, although some have appeared on unofficial bootlegs. However, Columbia has issued 22 more songs from the Rolling Thunder Revue, including A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall, on the 2-CD set Bob Dylan - Live 1975, from various gigs in Massachusetts and Montreal, Canada.

At one sunday afternoon service in Compton,Ca. the pastor announced some guy named "Bob Dylan was here today."Bob sat way in the back. He stood and waved to the congregation, I had no idea who he was(hey, i'm black!) Anyway,Bob has much respect from me for going to Compton! |
