I aspire to write songs so hauntingly beautiful. To have a critical opinion about a work as well rounded, and as close to perfect as this is almost heresy. This song crosses and blurs the boundaries of genre and audience. There is no way to improve upon it. Songs like these are meant to be accepted as they are, and serve as cornerstones of art for future generations to build upon.

I've heard variations on this topic, but I'm not here to dispute his range. Undeniably, he had an incredible range and one of the most interesting and best voices I've heard. Thought I'd like to add that he had incredible breath control which is evident in "Mojo Pin", "Corpus Christi Carole" and in the cover of "Hallelujah" he performed in Chicago and is on DVD.

very beautiful person his music hits hard if you truely hear his words. The best vocalist I have ever heard thus far in my life his range is insane. I have a special place for Jeff in my heart as I was their the day my friends pulled his body from the water in Memphis. The world has lost a true artist and is a worse place because of it in my opinion..RIP
