you have to make sure the salt doesn't leave its bag, shaking vigorously may not be a good idea it your bag isn't durable plus if the salt gets in, you're "sorbet" won't freeze

its a physics thing... the shaking speeds up the thermodynamic process that ocurrs between the water salt and ice. melt the ice faster... cools down the juice rapidly. basically its just semi-frozen juice.
got to try this myself, see how well it tastes

haha this rocks. i did it before and it turned out FABULOUSLY. id really recomend using pop instead of orange juice though because it doesnt taste very good.^^
