who's putting them on american roads? American market is for making money by selling pricey cars. You need the safety of a tank because the rest of the cars are also like tanks, heavy and bulky for the paranoid souls. In developing world this car is most likely to bang against 2-wheelers
small cars. So there will not be much damage. First u make cars the weight of a tank then because some ppl have it so others are forced to buy similar sized car and then cry about rising fuel prices LOL

just yesterday i researched into them importing the tata nano to the rest of europe, england where i'm from, but it's highly unlikely as this car doesn't pass britain's car safety checklist and you would completely get wrecked in an accident. especially as there are no air bags. but the car's soooo cool and cheap, about
£1300 which is brilliant for a car. when i first saw it i wanted it for my first car but i guess that's not gonna be possible

This Piece of S*** would never last it built too FUCKING cheaply to last anywhere but India. North Americans want something that has at least some quality and safety. If you want something small buy a mini cooper. The early beatles were built ten times better and they are the true People Car. i dont know, honestly if I was really intent on buying a car for a few thousand dollars, I'd just get a 7th gen Corolla. The engines on those cars are bullet proof and the car's much more practical.
Tata should have just spent a little bit more and release something like the Toyota Aygo. Its very fuel efficient, great acceleration, very practical, much more highway capable, and all around a great car.
