that "crack" was actually intentional by Brian. these breaks are things he does quite often and it's a type of R
B vocal styling. if you watch the other version of this, the MTV-TRL one, he does the exact same thing. trust me, brian mcknight's voice doesn't crack on accident.

Talk about ruining a song - this was a scream fest. Listen to Judy Garland sing it. Don't even mention her and Aguilera in the same breath. Young people get such warped renditions of some of the great Christmas songs to the point that one can't even find the melody. They were never meant to be screamed and croaked like this. Young people have such bad examples of what is called singing that if they actually heard something decent they wouldn't recognize it. This was absolute garbage.
